National Security in the 21st century World Order
This conference aims to examine and debate the holistic dimensions of national security as it evolves in a rapidly changing world order in the 21st century. Accordingly, the conference is organised in seven sessions, with inaugural and valedictory sessions. The sessions move from examining the dynamics of the changing world order towards a multipolar one and its impact on the perspectives that influence national security policies in the 21st century to analysing the changing nature of war driven by geopolitics and technology. The second day focuses on India-specific issues from national security policy strategies, the importance of technology control for viable security, India’s national security challenges, and the relevance of the UN and emerging new multilateral groupings, including the BRICS on India’s national security.
The conference is over two days and will be held at the Saveetha School of Law on February 23rd and 24th, 2024.
