Dr. Sunod Jacob, is currently serving as Senior Fellow for International Law & Multilateralismat TPF. Prior to his current portfolio he has served as Associate Professor (Law) GD Goenka University; Assistant Professor (Law), ITM University; Legal Adviser to the ICRC; Senior Research Fellow (Law) University of Madras. He holds a Doctorate in law and Masters in Public International Law. He has served as the lead researcher of the Customary International Humanitarian Law study for India state practice (2008-2014).
He has a PhD from the University of Madras on Energy Security in International Law. He obtained his Master of Law in International Law and Institutions from the University of Madras after he completed his BA BL from Dr. Ambedkar Government Law University, Chennai. He has also served as an expert resource person in Track 1 and Track 2 forums across South Asia and SouthEast Asia.
He has several papers to his credit. Most recently he authored a book titled “Post-Millennium Trends in the Global Energy Security Architecture”.
He specializes in International Law, Multilateralism, Energy Security, Law of Armed Conflict and International Humanitarian Law.
He was awarded with the Junior Research Fellowship (UGC-JRF), President of India, Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma Gold Medal (M L), University of Madras Endowment Merit Scholarship and Lectureship (UGC-NET).
